Kitchel leads Alcan's meat, dairy packaging

Chicago-based Alcan Packaging promoted Frank Kitchel to vice president of marketing, Meat & Dairy for its Alcan Packaging Food Americas business. Kitchel formerly was a director of marketing. In addition to expanded marketing duties, Alcan said Kitchel will oversee a new applications development services (ADS) group. The ADS group will work with customers and Alcan's R&D to spearhead new packaging ideas.

Kitchel served as a research engineer at Quantum Chemical Corp. and later served as a marketing director at Eval Company of America. He joined Alcan's Meat & Dairy packaging business in 2001.
