Supplier Shorts: Tyson honors five; Steritech, Diehl in the news

Chicken, beef and pork giant Tyson Foods Inc., Springdale, Ark., honored five companies during its fourth annual "Supplier of the Year" awards program. Those recognized were (1) process automation consultant A-Tech Inc., Tulsa, Okla.; production supplies distributor Hantover Inc., Kansas City; contractor Mid-Tech Inc., Anderson, Mo.; FlexSol Packaging Corp., Pampano Beach, Fla.; and ingredient supplier Kerry Group plc, Tralee, Ireland. . . .Emulsified powders supplier Diehl Food Ingredients, Defiance, Ohio, said it acquired the emulsified powders and non-dairy creamer business of ACH Food Companies. Terms were not disclosed. . . . The Steritech Group Inc., Charlotte, N.C., said it hired Gonzalo Checa as president of Steritech's Food Safety division.
