EXECS ON THE MOVE

National Beef Packing Company, LLC, Kansas City, announced several promotions. Effective immediately, it named ...
... Terry Wilkerson as chief operating officer. Wilkerson previously was executive vice president of beef operations.
... Simon McGee as chief financial officer. Previously, he served as executive vice president, corporate strategy and acquisitions.
... Jay Nielsen as chief accounting officer and treasurer. Previously, he served as chief financial officer.
... Carey Hoskinson as executive vice president, beef operations. Previously, he served as vice president and general manager at National Beef's Dodge City, Kan., beef processing plant.

"We have a succession plan in place which includes the continued development of our management staff to fulfill the leadership needs of an ever changing and growing company," said CEO and President Tim Klein. "These moves help strengthen National Beef's leadership today and ensure a strong pipeline of capable leaders in the years to come. We are fortunate to have the depth of experience and expertise within our company that makes it possible to plan for succession from within."

Media reported that ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston, Tri-Cities, Wash., named 15-year operations veteran Jim Kirkham as plant manager at the company's newly completed sweet potato processing plant in Delhi, La. Kirkham replaces Doug Beyer, who managed the Delhi construction and start-up. Lamb Weston also named Beyer -- who moves back to Washington state -- as senior director of engineering. Kirkham assumes his new post March 1 and will transfer from Lamb Weston's Richland, Wash., plant, according to media reports.
