Stouffer's Corner Bistro Toasted Subs

Don't look now but the toasted sub sandwich craze is coming to a freezercase near you. Nestle Prepared Foods, Solon, Ohio, just introduced four Stouffer's Corner Bistro Toasted Subs.

"Stouffer's Corner Bistro Toasted Subs combine layers of meats, melted cheeses and premium fillings on a warm six-inch sub roll-toasted and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside," says Nestle. "Discover the latest way to satisfy your cravings for a casual delicious meal in under three minutes."

The new sandwiches rolled into supermarkets last month and carry a suggested retail of $3.29.

Varieties include:
 
Meatball Italiano: Featuring 6 7/8 ounces of Italian seasoned meatballs with grilled red and green peppers, onions,mozzarella cheese and a zesty marinara sauce on Italian bread.
 
Roast Beef & Cheddar: Featuring 6 ounces of shaved roast beef topped with sauteed onions, mushrooms and cheddar cheese on Italian bread
 
Philly-Style Steak & Cheese: Featuring 6 ounces of beef steak strips topped with provolone cheese, grilled onions and green peppers on Italian bread
 
Zesty Italian Deli: Featuring 6 ounces of sliced salami and pepperoni topped with mozzarella and provolone cheeses,grilled red and green peppers and pepperoncinis with a white cheddar cheese sauce on Italian bread.
