Mixproof Valves for Hygienic Flow Processing

Alfa Laval, Richmond, Va., debuted new mixproof valves that make it possible to handle two different fluids at the same time with no risk of cross-contamination. Using two independent plugs and seals means a single mixproof valve can often replace two or more valves of other types.

This modular solution is ideal for handling fluids with high viscosity or large particles such as soups and yogurt, and is specially designed with large openings, handling particles up to 45 mm in diameter to minimize pressure loss and secure product integrity.
