Saputo to acquire Dairy Crest Group plc

Saputo Inc., Canada, announced plans to acquire Dairy Crest Group plc, a UK-based dairy processor of cheese, butters, spreads and oils under Cathedral City, Clover, Country Life and Frylight brand. Dairy Crest employs approximately 1,100 people in seven locations across the United Kingdom.

The Transaction would enable Saputo to expand its international presence and enter the UK market.
