Kite Hill raises $10M to support plant-based dairy growth
The funds will go toward building a world-class infrastructure, innovating in new product development and investing in people and marketing.
Kite Hill, Hayward, Calif., raised $10 million to support its “dramatic growth” in the plant-based dairy sector.
“We’re excited for the additional resources we’ve secured, and believe the investment demonstrates continued confidence in the plant-based segment, our brand, our innovation, and importantly, our business model,” says Rob Leibowitz, chief executive officer. “We plan to use the money to continue to build our world-class infrastructure, to innovate and to invest in people and marketing – all with an eye to crafting only great tasting, plant-based, vegan foods. We’re in the middle of servicing a rapidly expanding acceptance of our foods, including our almondmilk yogurts, ricotta, pasta and dips, and look forward to future launches planned in the coming months and years.”
