SpartanNash announced it has realigned its BRT Indianapolis and Managed Freight Minnesota teams into one organization and rebranded as SpartanNash Logistics. The centralized third-party transportation logistics solution will enable SpartanNash to better serve its more than 150 corporate-owned retail stores in nine states, independent and national account customers nationwide, U.S. military commissaries and exchanges and third-party logistics customers.
Carrier Transicold will accelerate and advance its electrification capabilities through a new strategic partnership with Portuguese technology company AddVolt. The agreement enables Carrier to broadly utilize AddVolt’s engine-agnostic technology to develop innovative sustainable transport refrigeration solutions for customers in Europe.

Global packaging leader TricorBraun announced today that it has acquired Quebec-based RODA Packaging, further expanding its presence in Eastern Canada. Serving customers for nearly 40 years, RODA is a rigid packaging distributor specializing in the chemicals, sealants, and adhesives markets; it also serves the nutraceuticals, juices, and dry condiments and spices segments. As part of the RODA acquisition, TricorBraun will also acquire Rada Industries.
NCC Automated Systems has named John French as director of systems engineering. In his new role, he will oversee the sales, applications and project management teams by providing his 22 years of packaging automation experience and leadership to projects from sales through execution. He will report to Jason Link, General Manager, NCC Automated Systems.
Anchor Packaging broke ground on a 90,000-square-foot, $21.5 million expansion to its Paragould, Arkansas, manufacturing facility, which will bring 45 new jobs over the next 30 months.
Dan Powers, President and CEO of Fisher Construction Group recently announced that agreements have been completed to acquire the personnel and assets of All Surface Roofing & Waterproofing of Spokane. The new division will be called Fisher Roofing Services. All Surface’s parent company of Santa Ana, CA is not part of the acquisition, and will continue operating as a separate company.
Bush Refrigerated Vans has opened a new 15,000-square-foot production facility dedicated to the manufacturing and upfitting of refrigerated vans and trucks. The state-of-the-art facility, located just north of Cincinnati in Lebanon, Ohio, features a full range of machines for vehicle upfitting, including a spray system for insulation as well as dedicated areas for exterior decal application. Vans are customized to each customer’s needs and can be built to maintain refrigerated and frozen temperatures.
