For the first time ever, Del Monte is bringing packaged bubble tea to the refrigerated aisle in grocery and retail stores throughout the US, innovating on the popularity of boba that is trekking towards a $1B market value by 2022.  

Joyba is a new, first-of-its-kind retail line of boba shop-inspired beverages made with real brewed tea and popping boba. Del Monte is continuing to innovate and expand further into the space of retailed refrigerated and shelf-stable boba products, which started with the launch of Bubble Fruit, fruit cups with popping boba, in 2019.  

Keeping authenticity and taste top of mind, the brand worked with a Taiwanese boba expert to formulate the unique ingredients of popping boba and packaging for Joyba to ensure it resembles authentic boba from a shop. The team also worked to ensure to design a proper cup and straw that works not only for retail shelves and home pantries but also perfectly embodies what consumers are used to from a boba shop. Joyba can serve as a healthier alternative to grab and go drinks and coffees full of sugar as it contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners and is low calories with only 120 calories.
