According to the Global Cold Chain Alliance, the total capacity of refrigerated warehouses worldwide was 719 million cubic meters in 2020, an increase of over 16% compared to 2018 figures. The United States, at 156 million cubic meters, was the single largest country market, followed by India and China. Yet most projections show the need is growing for cold storage facilities, particularly in smaller, developing markets and regional cities, often with the buildings climbing higher with more automation.
