Association Briefs: AMI, OTA, FMI in the news
The American Meat Institute said it hired the sales analysis firm, ethnoMetrics Inc., Stevensville, Mich., to "enhance the purchase experience" of those buyers and sellers at the 2009 Worldwide Food Expo on Oct. 28-31 in Chicago. In part, officials hope the move will optimize return on investment for show exhibitors. . . . The Organic Trade Association said it's planning a multi-faceted consumer marketing and public relations campaign to reach as many as 25 million consumers during 2009. . . . The Food Marketing Institute said it is developing guidelines, best practices, case studies and other resources to help the supermarket industry address issues of sustainability in the seafood industry.
