LOGISTICS BRIEFS: Southeast public refrigerated warehouse operatorNordic Cold Storage LLC, Atlanta, said it opened its 13th location, a 3 million-cubic-foot frozen distribution and import/export center in Wilmington, N.C. Officials say the operation is located just minutes from the Port of Wilmington and will serve major domestic and international customers. It has more than 16,000 pallet positions and weekly blast freezing capacity of 3.5 million pounds. . . .Millard Refrigerated Services, Omaha, Neb., expects by August to build a 150,000-square-foot cold storage facility in Centralia, Wash., its second location there. Roger Rau, Millard senior vice president of development, told local reporters that Millard likes Centralia's strategic location along the Interstate 5 corridor, its central location between Portland, Ore., and Seattle, and the area's rail access.
