Foodservice Market Maneuvers: Panda Express launches Wok Smart; Dunkin Donuts goes frozen
FOODSERVICE MARKET MANEUVERS: Asian foodservice processor-suppliers should note that fast-casual restaurant operator Panda Express, Rosemead, Calif., has introduced Wok Smart, a menu labeling initiative to inform consumers about sides, appetizers and entrees that contain 250 calories or less per serving. . . . Dunkin' Donuts, Canton, Mass., said there's a "cold front" moving through each of the chain's stores. The newest menu item is frozen cappuccino. "This is Dunkin' Donuts' most intense frozen coffee drink yet," said Frances Allen, brand marketing officer.
