Execs on the move at Heinz, Broaster Company
The Heinz Co., Pittsburgh, Pa., announced the retirement of 21-year company veteran Ted Smyth as chief administrative officer and senior vice president of corporate and government affairs. Heinz said it promoted Steve Clark, chief people officer, to the company's Office of the Chairman. Michael Mullen was promoted to vice president of corporate and government affairs. . . . Jay Cipra was promoted to chief executive officer at The Broaster Company LLC, a Beloit, Wis., marketer and licensor of foodservice chicken and pizza equipment and programs. The company also processes fresh and frozen chicken. Cipra previously served as president at corporate parent, The Broaster Company Inc.
In other news, The Broaster Company announced the retirements of Frank Dowling, president of Broaster Recipe Foods Div.; Gene Halley, vice presidennt of operations; and Norm Kingston, a quality control technician. Broaster also announced the following new appointments. Derek Fellows has joined Broaster as operations manager. Randy McKinney was promoted to vice president of new product and program development. Bill Loeffelholz was promoted to national sales manager. Michael Groeneveld has joined the company as export/government and special account sales manager.
