Global ingredient supplierBunge Ltd., White Plains, N.Y., announced to  promotions effective January 1, 2010.Carl Hausmann, CEO, Bunge North America, will assume the newly created role of managing director, global government and corporate affairs.  Hausmann will coordinate Bunge's global government affairs, corporate sustainability and community relations.
Soren Schroder, vice president, agribusiness for Bunge Europe, will become CEO ofBunge North America. Mr. Schroder will lead all of Bunge's business operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Cognis said Eckert is pursuing a career outside of Cognis and will be working closely with Mr. Pflum until year-end to guarantee a seamless transition. Officials said Pflum has 20 years of Cognis experience from manufacturing operations through SBU positions, including his most recent position as chief administrative officer and vice president of supply chain operations.
