Stellar, a Jacksonville, Fla., design, engineering, construction and mechanical services firm, said it joined with customerUnited States Cold Storage (USCS), Voorhees, N.J., to donate $3,000 for a child in California's "Wish Upon a Star" program. The non-profit organization grants wishes of children afflicted with high-risk and life-threatening illnesses.
"For more than 20 years, Stellar and USCS have designed and built facilities across the nation, including three in California in 2008 and 2009," said Allison Korman, Stellar director of public relations. "We believe strongly in giving back to the people who live in the towns and cities we serve. We're excited to support such a worthwhile organization in California."
Stellar completed USCS' three-phase expansion in Tulare, Calif., last August. Stellar is currently building USCS' new distribution center in Turlock, Calif., and is expanding USCS' operation in Fresno, Calif.
