Kraft expanding Lunchables production
New York state officials said Kraft Foods Inc., Northfield, Ill., will expand Lunchables production at its Avon, N.Y., plant. The operation already employs about 360 people to produce frozen Cool-Whip and refrigerated Lunchables items for East Coast distribution. Kraft expects to complete the plant project later this year -- adding a new Lunchables line and hiring as many as 50 more workers.
