Following its expansion into south Florida this February, ice cream processorBlue Bell Creameries, Brenham, Texas, has now purchased land near Delray Beach to build a 12,500-square-foot distribution center.

WholesalerTony's Fine Foodssaid it expects by next summer to complete a $15 million expansion and renovation involving new offices, a new freezer and automated distribution center at its West Sacramento, Calif., headquarters. The project includes a 77,000-square-foot facility to house the new freezer and distribution center.

Universal Companies, Lincoln, Neb., said it expects by October to complete a $7 million expansion at its Lincoln warehouse. A 72,000-square-foot addition will house 15,000 more pallet positions, 14 more loading dock doors and space to hold nearly 700 semi-truck loads of product, officials said.
