Looking to grow their Awrey Bakeries LLC business, private investors Hilco Equity Partners, L.P., Northbrook, Ill., andMonomoy Capital Partners L.P., New York City, said they purchased the assets and operations ofAtkins Elegant Desserts Inc., a Noblesville, Ind., supplier of frozen cheesecakes, layer cakes and brownies to the foodservice operators and in-store bakeries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Awrey, Livonia, Mich., supplies the same channels with frozen Danish, muffins, croissants, cakes, biscuits and brownies. Hilco purchased the Awrey business in 2005.
