Nestle USA, Glendale, Calif., said it promotedTony Sarsam, 48, to president for a newly formed Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Division, based in Oakland, Calif.
Officials said DSD Division will manage direct store delivery operations for the following Nestle USA businesses: Nestle's newly acquired frozen pizza brands – DiGiorno, California Pizza Kitchen, Tombstone and Jack's – as well as U.S. brands manufactured by Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream – Dreyer's / Edy's, Haagen-Dazs, The Skinny Cow and Nestle Drumstick.
Sarsam was previously the executive vice president of sales and operations for Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, a separate Nestle USA division he joined in 2006. Nestle said Sarsam began his career at PepsiCo, where he served numerous roles including factory manager, director of finance, region sales vice president for Frito-Lay, and vice president of sales strategy for PepsiCo North America.
