Exopack LLC, Spartanburg, S.C., said it completed its $82 million purchase of two food packaging plants from Bemis Company. The operations in Menasha, Wis., and Catoosa (Tulsa), Okla.,, produce Halo, ClearShield and Maraflex plastic films for retail natural cheese and fresh red meat. Officials said the divested business recorded 2009 net sales of approximately $156 million.
Automated warehouse material handling supplier Westfalia Technologies, Inc., York, Pa., said it hired Bill Brown as service manager. Brown previously held positions at Graham Engineering and Engel Machinery.
Peter Fausel was named vice president of North America Sales for Intermec, Inc., an Everett, Wash., supplier of rugged mobile computing and data collection systems, bar code printers, label media, and RFID. Fausel most recently was executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer service at I.D. Systems Inc.
