According to a recent Technomic study, more than half of restaurant patrons are more likely to order a variety of soup that cannot be easily made at home.
To help foodservice operators continue to differentiate their soup offerings and appeal to evolving consumer demands, Kettle Cuisine, Chelsea, Mass., says it is introducing three on-trend varieties this fall that require more time and culinary acumen to cook than most consumers may have.
Officials say new Spiced Pumpkin Bisque, Spicy Asian Beef Soup, and Tomato & Feta Soup are "sure to pique consumer interest and help round out any successful soup rotation."
Flavor profiles include:
Spiced Pumpkin Bisque – A succulent puree of pumpkin, brown sugar, light cream and savory seasonings make this bisque a can’t-miss comfort food
Spicy Asian Beef Soup (pictured) – Naturally raised Angus beef is combined with carrots, red peppers and brown rice in a handcrafted stock infused with lemongrass, anise, annatto and red chilis for a truly authentic Southeast Asian eating experience.
Tomato & Feta Soup – This Mediterranean-inspired fusion of vine-ripened organic tomatoes and rich feta cheese provides a delightful twist to a classic tomato soup .
Kettle Cuisine says it offers more than 50 varieties of refrigerated premium, all-natural soups, chilis, chowders and stews made from scratch ingredients. The company says it also offers a broad selection of vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten free, organic and low-fat options. Foodservice soups are available in refrigerated or frozen state.
