Used for applications where product orientation and grease/oil buildup are concerns, the Intralox Direct Drive System for spiral conveyance eliminates surging and
the need for overdrive and associated controls by engaging the belt edge directly with the drum. Without drum-belt edge friction, the conveyor belt operates with zero slip. Accumulated food residue on the drum does not impact system performance or efficiency. The system can be retrofitted to an existing line through the Intralox Spiral Optimization Program.
