Chris Wallace, director of purchasing for JBS United, Sheridan, Ind., passed away unexpectedly Sept. 14.

Wallace was born May 21, 1955 in Noblesville, Ind. He was a 1973 graduate of Sheridan (Indiana) High School and a 1977 graduate of Purdue University, earning a degree in agriculture. After college, he worked for Wallace Grain for three years, then joined JBS United. Wallace served as a member of the American Feed Industry Association’s Feed Control Committee and Purchasing Seminar Committee.

Wallace was surrounded by family members when he passed. He was laid to rest Sept. 19 in Crown View Cemetery in Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Legacy Fund for the benefit of Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
