Nearly one year after opening for business, Urschel International Ltd. Italy hosted an official grand opening in November 2012. The event included local dignitaries, Urschel customers and management from Urschel International and Urschel Corporate, Valparaiso, Ind.
Castagnole delle Lanza Mayor Marco Violardo presided over the official ribbon cutting using a golden TranSlicer slicing knife, specifically manufactured in honor of the event. After the ribbon cutting, local clergy led an invocation. Marco Cortese, sales manager for Urschel Italy, received a plaque commemorating the new office.
