Nearly one year after opening for business, Urschel International Ltd. Italy hosted an official grand opening in November 2012. The event included local dignitaries, Urschel Italy officeUrschel customers and management from Urschel International and Urschel Corporate, Valparaiso, Ind.

Castagnole delle Lanza Mayor Marco Violardo presided over the official ribbon cutting using a golden TranSlicer slicing knife, specifically manufactured in honor of the event. After the ribbon cutting, local clergy led an invocation. Marco Cortese, sales manager for Urschel Italy, received a plaque commemorating the new office.

“Thank you to all of the Urschel customers for participating in this event,” says Tim O’Brien, vice president of sales. “The Urschel Italy office continues to set new sales records, and we are looking forward to many more successful years.”

The event also included tours of the office and a display of Urschel cutting equipment, including the new AFFINITY large dicer, along with cutting demonstrations.
