Franklin Foods, Delray Beach, Fla., introduced what is said to be the industry's first Greek Spreadable Cheese.
Made with a combination of farm fresh dairy and Greek yogurt, Green Mountain Farms Greek Spreadable Cheese is made in small batches in Enosburg Falls, Vt., and delivers three times the protein and 50% less fat than traditional spreadable cheese, plus live and active cultures. Spread on bagels or crackers or dig into the patented formula with veggie sticks and pretzels.
"We are thrilled to launch our new Greek Spreadable Cheese just in time for summer," says Rocco Cardinale, vice president, Franklin Foods West. "This summer, picnics, parties, camp and brunches just got a whole lot easier and more deliciously wholesome with three times the protein and half the fat than ever before, plus live and active cultures. We are not only reinventing cream cheese, but also summer eating."
Available in Cucumber Garlic, Garlic & Herb, Roasted Red Pepper and Sundried Tomato, the Green Mountain Farms Greek Spreadable Cheese comes in 6.5-ounce containers, and can be found in the dairy and refrigerated deli sections for a suggested retail price of $3.99-4.59.
