RC Creations, LLC, a Lyndhurst, N.J.-based seafood processor, will establish a new facility in Raleigh, N.C., creating 120 new jobs and investing more than $25 million by the end of 2017.
The Currie production facility will import fresh and frozen seafood from around the world to create ready-to-eat seafood products that are packaged and shipped domestically and internationally. The facility will utilize state-of-the-art technologies to continue to meet and exceed current Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements.
“We are delighted to have chosen Pender County as the new home for RC Creations. After an extensive multi-state search and selection process, the combination of the area’s pro-business climate, motivating incentive offerings and high quality of life made it the most viable option for our organization’s rapid growth. We look forward to providing a safe, reliable and attractive workplace for the residents of Pender County,” says Richard Nordt, vice president of manufacturing.
RC Creations is a division of Acme Smoked Fish Corp., based in New York. The 4-generation, family-owned business has produced value-added seafood products for more than 75 years.
