BioControl Systems, Inc., Bellevue, Wash., received AOAC-PTM Certification (#050602) for its Assurance GDS^® Salmonella Tq mEHEC method from the AOAC Research Institute’s Performance Tested Methods Program. 

Assurance GDS combines the latest advancements in immunomagnetic separation (IMS), molecular technology and food microbiology to provide accurate Salmonella results faster than ever before. The new 8-hour mEHECenrichment protocol allows customers to obtain results in select matrices in just 10 hours, including sample processing. 

Now producers can also obtain Salmonella results in addition to E. coli O157:H7 and Top STEC from a single enriched sample. The use of a harmonized enrichment media for these assays helps streamline testing programs and control costs by eliminating the need to prepare multiple samples.
