To help families who may not have time to prepare nutritious meals from scratch, Laura’s Lean Beef, Lexington, Ky., introduced Laura’s Kitchen, a new line of natural deli meats, soups and entrées that are made with wholesome ingredients and produced without the use of antibiotics or hormones.
“We know that today’s consumers want nutritious and easy-to-prepare meal options in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle,” says Chris Anderson, marketing director. “We developed the Laura’s Kitchen line of products to fill a void in the marketplace for convenience foods that are both delicious and made with natural ingredients.”
Laura’s Kitchen features eight restaurant-quality soups, as well as five lean deli meats. Each soup, with the exception of the Steak Chili with Red Beans, which has a tomato base, starts with beef or chicken stock and incorporates vegetables, lean meats, beans, pastas and other ingredients. The Laura’s Kitchen soups come in Steak Chili with Red Beans, Beef Stew, Chicken & Dumpling, Chicken & Corn Tortilla, Chicken Noodle, Chicken Soup with Garden Vegetables, Minestrone and Creamy Tomato Bisque.
Laura’s Kitchen deli meats are juicy and seasoned to perfection without unnecessary preservatives, nitrates or artificial ingredients, are said to boast lower sodium amounts than other deli meats and are certified by the American Heart Association. Plus, they are produced from animals raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones. The extra lean deli meats varieties include Roast Turkey Breast, Uncured Smoked Ham, Roast Beef, Uncured Corned Beef and Uncured Beef Pastrami.
