The Refrigerated Foods Association (RFA), Marietta, Ga., established July as National Deli Salad Month. This promotional event is intended to educate consumers RFA deli salad monthand encourage the purchase of convenient, high-quality, ready-to-eat deli salads.

July is a time for family celebrations and relaxed schedules, and nothing says summer like outdoor cookouts and picnics featuring deli salads. Refrigerated food manufacturers are encouraged to participate in National Deli Salad Month by utilizing local and social media, displaying and distributing the National Deli Salad Month logo for the promotional period, arranging in-store activities and displays and more. Involvement might also include consumer education and awareness, or sharing information on innovative packaging techniques, food safety measures and proper food handling.
