Multiscan Technologies, USA, LLC, joined forces with Avision Designs, LLC, Pearland, Texas, to promote quality control products to the U.S. tree nut and peanut market.

The joint operation, named MTU LLC, will be based in Hood River, Ore., and headed by Avi Cohn, a 30-year veteran of the optical sorting industry.

Multiscan is a specialist in small fruit selection, up to 55 millimeters in diameter, sorting by color, defects, size or texture. All Multiscan machinery operates with a unique vision/ejection system controlled by a single computer PC.

Avision Designs specializes in optical sorters, as well as the design and manufacturing of electro-optic upgrades for existing color sorters.
