Coveris Holdings, Chicago, announced the integration of KubeTech Custom Molding, Pittsburgh, Pa., to create a North American rigid packaging business unit.

KubeTech Custom Moldin, a manufacturer of rigid packaging solutions and a variety of injection molding and assembly processes, operates facilities in Anderson, S.C., Excelsior, Mo., and Newark, Del. During the integration, these facilities will become Coveris’ North American rigid packaging business unit. KubeTech chief executive officer Steve Wirrig will manage this division as president, rigid packaging North America.

“The KubeTech team is a very welcome addition to our Coveris family,” says Gary Masse, chief executive officer of Coveris. “This action provides a significant expansion of our rigid packaging capability in North America, and will help us leverage this capability in the context of the larger Coveris organization.”

Both KubeTech and Coveris are affiliated portfolio companies of private equity firm Sun Capital Partners, Inc., Boca Raton, Fla.
