Romer Labs, Washington, Mo., launched AgraApp for Apple iOS7, designed to assist the testing of food allergens by lateral flow devices, namely the AgraStrip line.
AgraApp enables customers to analyze and document food allergen results obtained withAgraStrip Brazil nut, almond, cashew, hazelnut, Macadamia nut, peanuts, pistachio and walnut.
How it works is, with the smartphone, users take a picture of the test strip result region. Then, AgraApp matches the color of the test line to a given color palette in the app, allowing the output of a semi-quantitative result. The picture, together with the result, is stored on the smartphone and can be forwarded by mail to the computer instantly.
AgraApp is free of charge and can be downloaded in the App-Store.
