Nercon Engineering & Manufacturing, Oshkosh, Wis., implemented Phase II of its plan to expand capabilities by moving corporate sales office to a larger, more modern state-of-the-art facility that will improve operational efficiencies for their customers. The 23,000-square-foot facility is located at 600 S. Commercial in Neenah, Wis. The move is planned for mid-July.
Phase I of Nercon’s growth plans is already underway and includes consolidating manufacturing facilities into one expanded, upgraded state-of-the-art facility in Oconto, Wis. The strategy is to eliminate waste, improve manufacturing and assembly processes, improve delivery and pass savings and benefits on to its customers. Over $5 million in equipment and upgrades include a new laser, powder paint system, deburring, CNC rolling and CNC axis router machines. Plans for a 30,000-square-foot expansion are also in the works.
“We have been able to pay for all of our capital additions with operating cash flow. We will also seek to leverage our strong balance sheet by looking for acquisitions that complement our conveyor business and our manufacturing capabilities,” says Joe Roesler, vice president of finance.
