KanPak China, a subsidiary of Golden State Foods (GSF), an Irvine, Calif.-based supplier to the quick-service restaurant industry, signed a management services agreement with Guangzhou OSI Food Co. Ltd. to control and manage the Guangzhou produce plant.

"We're pleased to expand our business in China to include produce with this management services agreement," says Mark Wetterau, chairman and CEO of GSF. "We're accessing GSF's global resources and those of its partners to provide outstanding quality with assured supply to the Chinese market."

The GSF team will take over the 100% control and management of the Guangzhou OSI plant, and will continue to be dedicated to delivering safe, quality products that meet both clients' and China's regulatory requirements.

This agreement comes on the heels of OSI’s food safety scandal involving its Husi Shanghai, China, operations.
