Gorton's Seafood, Gloucester, Mass., re-invented the iconic fish stick with the introduction of new Smart & Crunchy fish sticks. Also available as fish filets, these fish sticks are made with 100% wild-caught Alaska Pollock and breaded in a panko coating. Always crispy, never fried, they boast 50% less fat than Gorton's regular fish sticks and are 180 calories per serving.
"We are so excited to be able to share these new products," says Gavin Kennedy, director of consumer marketing. "We've been working hard at this concept for quite some time, trying to find a way to improve our iconic fish sticks nutritionally and maintain that same great taste and crunch that Americans have come to love over the past 60 years. I really think we've done it! We can't wait to hear what people think about Smart & Crunchy."
Gorton's all new Smart & Crunchy fish sticks will be available in local grocers nationwide in early 2015.
