Minneapolis-based MOCON, Inc. announced a name change for its Paul Lippke Handels-GmbH business unit headquartered in Neuwied, Germany. Effective Jan. 1, 2015, Lippke will be known as MOCON GmbH.
“MOCON has made considerable investments in acquisitions and organic growth to strengthen its global footprint as a market leader. Changing the name of our German business unit is another step in support of that strategy,” says Doug Lindemann, vice president.
MOCON purchased Lippke in 2004. Prior to the acquisition, Lippke was a manufacturer of its own instrumentation and a distributor of MOCON equipment targeting packaging, food and pharmaceutical markets and applications. Today, its focus is on delivering MOCON permeation measurement systems for oxygen, water vapor and carbon dioxide and LIPPKE-branded package test systems.
MOCON GmbH will continue to be headed by Lippke managing director Franz Sturm.
