Coveris Holdings S.A., a Chicago-based packaging and coatings solutions company, acquired Elldex Packaging Solutions, a New Zealand-based full-service flexible packaging company. The acquisition, effective immediately, will enable Coveris to expand globally into Australia.

Elldex is a manufacturer and importer of HDPE and LDPE flexible plastic packaging. With more than 125 employees, Elldex provides products that serve the meat, dairy, seafood, horticulture and agricultural sectors.

“We are very pleased to add Elldex Packaging Solutions to Coveris,” says Gary Masse, chief executive officer of Coveris. “As the global demand for our products continues to increase, Elldex will allow us to serve our customers in this important region of the world.”
