Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI), Tokyo, Japan, and Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift Co., Ltd., Japan, jointly acquired 100% ownership of UniCarriers Corp. by purchasing all shares currently held by Innovation Network Corp. of Japan (INCJ), Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.

Through acquisition of UniCarriers, Marengo, Ill., MHI and Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift will achieve a full lineup of product offerings that mutually complement sales networks, enhance global expansion opportunities and strengthen the business foundations, enabling further expansion.

Going forward, a preparatory committee will be launched under which MHI and Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift will work together with UniCarriers to draw up business policies and strategies.
