Monogram Foods, Memphis, Tenn., acquired Golden County Foods, a frozen appetizers producer based in Plover, Wis., and re-named it Monogram Appetizers. Golden County Foods maintains approximately $100 million annual sales, 550 employees and two production facilities.
With this acquisition, Monogram Foods now owns manufacturing plants in six states, all of which have been acquired by the company over the past nine years.
“Monogram Foods is a growth company that really cares about its team members and customers, so that we can profitably grow together. This acquisition helps to strengthen our position in and commitment to the frozen foods category, and with the expectation that we will save and create jobs at each of our plants,” says Karl Schledwitz, chairman and CEO of Monogram Foods.
