Tyson Foods, Inc., Springdale, Ark., announced that its poultry plant in Robards, Ky., will be hiring about 90 additional workers as a result of an $8 million investment to install a new freezer and additional workstations.
“This investment will help us meet growing demand for our products,” says Noel White, president of poultry. “We’re very proud of our team members in Robards, and are pleased to bring additional jobs to the community.”
The Robards plant produces individually quick-frozen chicken packaged under the Tyson brand to retail customers nationwide.
Tyson Foods acquired the Robards plant in 1998, and currently employs about 1,200 people.
