Caito Foods, Inc. broke ground on its new fresh kitchen process facility in Indianapolis, Ind.
Design-build firm ESI Group USA, Hartland, Wis., scheduled earthwork to begin on the acquired site adjacent to its existing headquarters facility near North Post Road.
The new 117,500-square-foot facility will allow Caito Foods to support the company's growth and allow better service to its grocery, restaurant and foodservice clients. The fruit and vegetable processor anticipates creating up to 342 jobs by 2019.
