Case Farms Chicken, Dudley, N.C., selected Primus Builders, Inc., Woodstock, Ga., to provide the full range of design-build services (mechanical engineering, architecture, insulated metal panel installation and construction management) on a 102,000-square-foot Greenfield refrigerated warehouse in Dudley, N.C. The new facility will serve as a regional distribution center for Case Farms frozen chicken.

The warehouse will operate an ammonia refrigeration system and feature a -10°F VRT space. The freezer will also reach a temperature of -10°F. The 34°F dock will feature 12 dock doors. The palletizing area and the cooler will also be 34°F.

“We’re excited to be working with Case Farms again,” says Paul Grenier, senior vice president of Primus. “It’s a great opportunity to keep building our partnership.”

The project is expected to be completed in August 2016.
