Sonoco, Hartsville, S.C., renamed all of the former Weidenhammer Packaging Group (WPG) facilities to Sonoco Consumer Products Europe, effective Jan. 1, 2016. This step completes the successful integration after the merger in late 2014, making Sonoco one of the largest diversified global packaging companies with more than 21,000 employees and 340 locations worldwide.

Sonoco Consumer Products Europe offers a broad range of rigid paperboard containers and has significantly expanded its capabilities in high-performance plastics packaging, especially with regard to injection molding and in-mold labelling. Sonoco also provides a full range of packaging services, from logistics and brand and graphics management to retail point-of-sale display solutions.
