AdvancePierre Foods, Cincinnati, introduced Pierre Signatures Chicken Salad with Bacon on a Croissant.

This 6.84-ounce sandwich, hand-wrapped in clear film, features a sweet relish chicken salad topped with Applewood-smoked bacon, all on a flakey croissant.

“The chicken salad sandwiches often sold in convenience stores typically are only good for a few days, resulting in high spoilage and low margins,” says Tony Schroder, president of convenience channels. “Our new offering lasts longer, maintains its freshness, and therefore, is better for the bottom line.”

The new Pierre Signatures sandwich boasts a 14-day refrigerated, 12-month frozen shelf life, and come packed 12 to a case, available nationwide.
