Bradley Brookshire was elected to serve as chairman and CEO, taking over for Rick Rayford, who retired. Grandson of the company’s founder Wood Brookshire, Bradley has served as chairman of the board since 2007, and is part of the third generation of the Brookshire family to lead the company. He has 38 years of service, and has served in various leadership roles, including store director, director of distribution and executive vice president of corporate development.

Jonathan Muhtar was appointed senior vice president and chief marketing officer, responsible for leading teams in menu innovation and implementation, customer relationship management, social media, brand positioning, pricing, promotions and field marketing, as well as directing media strategy.  Muhtar brings more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience in branding, marketing and product innovation. Before joining Red Robin, he served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for the Captain D's restaurant chain, where he revitalized the brand and drove significant improvements in same-store sales and unit volumes. He previously held global marketing, new concept strategy and product marketing roles at Burger King, served as a consultant at Swander Pace & Co., and as an entrepreneur, owned and operated what is said to be the first Smoothie King franchise in South Florida.

 

IN MEMORIUM: CINDY NAES, F.A.B. INC.

Cindy Naes, executive vice president of F.A.B. Inc., Alpharetta, Ga., passed away Dec. 18.

Naes began her life-long career in the food industry at the age of 18, and spent the last 10 years with F.A.B.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Dec. 23 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel in Simpsonville, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
