Tindall Corp., Spartanburg, S.C., completed the precast concrete structures for Sanderson Farms’ new poultry processing plant in Palestine, Texas, and was selected to deliver precast for the poultry processor’s new facility in St. Pauls, N.C. Sanderson’s processing operations include feed mills, hatcheries, administrative offices and wastewater treatment facilities.
Tindall’s single-source precast concrete project approach includes complete engineering and design coordination with other critical building systems, fabrication of all precast components at one of Tindall’s fully enclosed fabrication facilities and just-in-time delivery and installation of the precast building components on-site.
Sanderson’s Palestine facility includes over 170,000 square feet of space constructed with precast concrete column, beam and roof members that include sanitary design features and support process equipment, roof-mounted mechanical equipment and piping systems. Tindall’s San Antonio, Texas, facility delivered the Palestine project in 2015, while construction of the St. Pauls facility will be supported by Tindall’s Petersburg, Va., plant in 2016.
