Akro-Mils, an Akron, Ohio-based provider of storage, organization and transport products, opened a new warehouse facility in Wadsworth, Ohio.
Located across from the company’s manufacturing plant at 250 Seville Road, the new 125,000-square-foot warehouse boasts the potential to grow by an additional 95,000 square feet if necessary, with future plans for a shipping office, says Jim Daw, Wadsworth plant manager.
The new facility will bring on about 20-35 new employees, and is projected to transform Akro-Mils’ plastic storage products production and distribution.
“This will allow the company to produce all plastic products in our Wadsworth facility without having to transfer stock to our Sandusky, Ohio, plant for warehousing and shipping,” Daw says. “The new 125,000 square feet of space is a substitution for 160,000 square feet of warehouse and production space that exists in Sandusky for our plastic products. We now will be able to efficiently produce and ship all Akro-Mils plastic products from one location.”
