Industrial Magnetics, Inc., Boyne City, Mich., completed a 16,000-square-foot addition to its manufacturing center, bringing the facility up to 34,000 total square feet.

The company designs, engineers and manufactures permanent magnets and electromagnets for work holding, lifting, fixturing, conveying and magnetic separation for several industries.

The new space houses a variety of work cells designed for efficient changeover. It also houses a 40-ton capacity crane for large scale projects, as well as an integrated loading bay.

"We’re very pleased with how the project turned out," says Casey House, operations manager. "The new space considerably enhances our ability to take on both large scale and large quantity projects. We’re well positioned for future growth.”
