Prime Distribution Services (PDS), a division of Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc., Cudahy, Wis., opened its new location in Plainfield, Ind. This is the company’s second Plainfield facility.
The new location, referred to as Airtech, boasts 300,000 square feet of warehousing space, allowing the facility to accommodate up to 20,000 pallets. Additionally, it features 30 dock doors and offers dry warehousing space with refrigerated warehousing solutions.
The new PDS location also utilizes state-of-the-art technology to manage day-to-day operations, including radio frequency picking, advanced automated case picking software and a state-of-the-art racking system throughout the entirety of the warehouse.
